The family of the girl who murdered Brianna spoke out last week, saying the year since the barbaric killing was ‘beyond our worst nightmares’.
Scarlett Jenkinson, who was just 15 at the time, ‘enjoyed’ the killing and found the thought of inflicting violence ‘sexually arousing’, her trial at Manchester Crown Court heard.
She was given a life term and ordered to serve a minimum term of 22 years. Her accomplice Eddie Ratcliffe, also 16, was locked up for at least 20 years after the judge said he had expressed transphobia towards their young victim.
