ATP Rotterdam 500 1/16-Finals
Dimitrov, Sonego: 13.02.2024
H2H: first meeting
Grigor Dimitrov played in the final last week on Sunday, where he lost to Humbert in straight sets. Dimitrov made many unforced errors, and his mental side of the game has cost him the title yet again. He had some really exhausting matches last week, and he does not have much time to recover and play on Tuesday against Sonego! Lorenzo Sonego has not played since losing at the Australian Open against Alcaraz almost a month ago. Sonego played a really good tournament in Australia; he did not have much luck with the draw, but he showed promising tennis against the number 2 in the world, Carlos Alcaraz. When players are coming back from a long week of playing high-level tennis, they are usually not ready to keep playing high-level tennis week after week! With all things considered, we believe that Sonego has a way better chance than what bookies are predicting. He should be able to cover +3.5 games handicap, but if you love to risk more, you can try and go with him winning the match!
Value bet/the best odds: Sonego +3.5 games @2.00 @bet365
H2H: first meeting
Hubert Hurkacz had a really good run in Marseille last week. He lost in the semi-finals against the current champion, Humbert. He served tremendously well throughout the tournament, and that gives you so much edge on indoor courts such as this one in Rotterdam! Lehecka also played in Marseille last week; however, he could not get past the second round. He is not playing his best tennis, but his first serve percentage was also really good, and we believe that will help him in this matchup. All things considered, we believe that this match will not offer many break-point chances on either side, and we may expect even some tiebreaks or maybe even three sets! Overgames is definitely a value bet in this matchup, and we believe that these two good servers will cover the line easily!
Value bet/the best odds: over 22.5 games @ 1.81 @ Bet365
De Minaur, Korda: 13.02.2024
Alex de Minaur had a really good run in his home country, Australia. He is trying to get into the top 10 in the rankings, and he is actually almost there! Last year, here in Rotterdam, De Minaur lost in the quarterfinals against Dimitrov. It was a really close match, and we expect something like that in this matchup as well! Sebastian Korda is nowhere near his best form. The young American is struggling this year, but his serve looks decent. However, his returns are suffering, and even though De Minaur is not a big server, we do not think that Korda will threaten his serve that much. With all being said, we expect this one to be really close and really tough for both players. It is hard to predict the winner, but we strongly believe that they will play lots of games, and you should definitely go for it!
Value bet/the best odds: over 22.5 games @ 1.80 @bet365
